Cartridge or filter that can be used in a variety of applications, including: welding at high and low temperatures, use of flame cutting torch, metal casting, and exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, MDA and HF for concentrations up to 10 times the Allowed Exposure Limit (PEL) with half-face facial parts, or 50 times the PEL with full-face facial parts. This filter also protects against annoying * levels of exposure to organic vapors (OV) and acid gases (AG).
Once properly adjusted, use in a variety of applications, including welding, oxyfuel welding, metal pouring and exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, MDA and HIF for concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) with masks half or 5 times the PEL for full masks. This filter also provides protection against annoying levels of exposure to VO and AG. Full masks should be tested quantitatively to claim the assigned protection factor above 1 in the negative pressure mode. Do not use in environments immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH). * Recommended by 3M for relief against annoying levels of organic vapors and acid gases. Levels of annoyance from organic vapors and acid gas refer to concentrations that do not exceed the OSHA PEL or applicable governmental occupational exposure limits, whichever is less. Not approved by NIOSH for organic vapors and acidic cases. Do not use it as a respiratory protection against organic vapors and acid gases (except hydrogen fluoride).
